We are trying to setup a Canon IR2270 printer on a different SBS 2008 network and the printer has not been used for some time.Canon Printer Driver For Chromebook
At the moment the printer has been allocated a static IP address and the settings are accessible by typing in this IP address into a browser. The Canon IR2270 drivers have been installed; however during this process the automatic detection of the printer failed, but when a manual TCP/IP port was entered with the corresponding IP address, this then succeeded.
However at the moment an unspecified error appears when trying to print a test page, despite the printer 'department number and passcode' prompt appearing first. We do have the original password details and after these are entered it tries to print before an error occurs.
At the same time, the printer does not register any activity and so I suspect that the default TCP/IP port settings are incorrect. Does anyone know the correct port settings for either this or a similar Canon printer, or is there a way to download a Canon port utility.
